Overview of the training session

In order to enhance occupational accident prevention, occupational disease prevention, and improve labor productivity in the workplace, the Environmental Safety Technical Division of the Thai Nguyen Department of Industry and Trade organized a training and certification examination for industrial explosives safety for managers of businesses involved in the use of industrial explosives in Thai Nguyen province. The training took place over two days, from May 27th to May 28th, 2023, at four companies operating in the Trade and Industry sector: Limestone and Construction Materials Exploitation Joint Stock Company, Cladding Stone and Construction Materials Joint Stock Company, Duc Thang Limited Liability Company, and Construction and Mineral Exploitation Joint Stock Company Thang Long. There were a total of six participants attending the training.

The training and certification examination for industrial explosives safety for managers of businesses involved in the use of industrial explosives in the province is a regular and annual activity that holds significant importance in state management. It serves as an opportunity to assess the knowledge and skills of the participants, ensuring they meet the necessary conditions for handling and using industrial explosives. Through the training, the trainees gain a better understanding of the new regulations regarding industrial explosives, as well as acquire additional knowledge about the purpose and characteristics of each explosive material, the structure and usage features of electrical detonators, and more. Additionally, the trainees share their experiences and insights with each other, helping them better grasp the legal provisions and recognize the importance of safety measures in the use and storage of industrial explosives, as well as safety in general during extraction activities. In the future, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to organize additional training sessions as planned to strengthen awareness, promote compliance with legal regulations on industrial explosives, and ensure occupational safety and hygiene for businesses under the management of the Trade and Industry sector. This effort aims to prevent and minimize potential risks that may occur during production activities. At the end of the training, the certification examination was conducted, and certificates of industrial explosives safety training were awarded to the six managers from businesses involved in the use of industrial explosives in the province.
