The Thai Nguyen Industry and Trade Fair - OCOP 2023 was successfully held from May 19th to May 23rd, 2023 at Vo Nguyen Giap Square in Thai Nguyen city, achieving remarkable results in trade promotion activities. It demonstrated the attention and support of all levels and sectors in Thai Nguyen province, working together to assist and connect businesses, promote OCOP products, traditional products, and agricultural products of Thai Nguyen province in particular, and the country as a whole. Particularly, under the close and timely guidance of the leadership of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Trade Promotion Center has made continuous efforts, focusing on implementing various trade promotion activities to support business development, market expansion, and export promotion. These activities include organizing, participating in, and supporting provincial businesses in major national trade fairs, domestic-oriented export fairs, the "Bringing Vietnamese Goods to Rural Areas" market session, supply-demand connection conferences, and trade delegations attending supply-demand connection conferences in other provinces. These efforts aim to create favorable conditions for businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities to promote their product brands, establish distribution channels, and develop markets for the key products of Thai Nguyen province.
Nui Phao Mining and Processing Minerals Limited Liability Company shared
with delegates about the company’s new products and expressed their desire
to connect and collaborate with the business community both domestically

Through the Thai Nguyen Industry and Trade Fair - OCOP 2023, the business community, including defense industry companies, major corporations, and enterprises from both within and outside the province, participated in the fair and recognized and highly appreciated the close coordination, flexibility, and smoothness of the Department of Industry and Trade in organizing the exhibition program. The Trade Promotion Center, in particular, successfully carried out commercial activities and strengthened business community connections. Additionally, businesses demonstrated astuteness in their business strategies and their ability to meet supply and demand. They also recognized the significant consumer demand for purchasing products such as machinery and handicrafts (OCOP products of the province), processed agricultural products, and exquisite wood products from the province. These products have gained consumer trust, leading to the establishment and successful development of distribution systems and sales outlets in various provinces and cities, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, as well as being distributed in major supermarkets in EU countries, China, Japan, and South Korea. There is a focus on strengthening domestic distribution chains and establishing partnerships with major supermarkets within and outside the province.
Comrade Nguyen Ba Chinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s
Executive Board and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, emphasized
that the department will continue to accompany businesses in trade promotion activities.
The exhibition in 2023 was successfully organized, with the participation of over 8,000 residents and visitors who contributed to the increase in total sales volume for participating businesses by approximately 10 billion Vietnamese dong. Around 50 contracts for distribution and sales agency were signed, with a total contract value of up to 30 billion Vietnamese dong. The exhibition in 2023 has created a ripple effect in stimulating consumer demand and has generated high expectations for the next exhibition in 2024, which will feature new highlights in trade promotion activities organized by the Department of Industry and Trade. The annual trade fairs have proven to be meaningful and effective in realizing the campaign "Vietnamese prioritize using Vietnamese products" as directed by the central authorities and the province of Thai Nguyen.
