In this regard, the Party Inspection Committee of the Department conducted inspections of two Party cells as scheduled. In terms of political tasks related to governance, the leadership of the Department focused on effectively carrying out key tasks in May, resulting in positive outcomes in several key indicators: the Industrial sector’s overall index increased by 3.29% compared to April and 5.57% compared to the same period last year; the total retail sales of goods and revenue from consumer services were estimated at VND 5,566.4 billion, an increase of 1.3% compared to the previous month and 31.9% compared to the same period last year; the total export and import turnover also increased compared to the previous month and the same period last year.
The Trade Union of the Industry and Trade sector expressed its opinions on the key tasks for June.
Direction and key tasks for June should focus on several important aspects. Firstly, there should be a strong emphasis on disseminating and implementing the Party’s guidelines, orientations, and policies, as well as state laws, to all Party members and employees in the industry and trade sector. Secondly, it is necessary to carry out evaluations of the Party and the government’s performance in the first six months of 2023, as well as the assessment of the 4th emulation cluster of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which includes four provinces (Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Bac Giang), to be held in Thai Nguyen province in July, ensuring compliance with the prescribed timeline. Additionally, in relation to government and organizational tasks in the field of industry and trade, there are four digital transformation tasks to be addressed. These include building an online industrial cluster management support system in Thai Nguyen province, developing electronic support solutions, establishing an online business support system to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in implementing e-commerce applications, and reporting on the application of information technology in commercial promotion activities, as well as strengthening administrative procedure reform, public relations campaigns, and restructuring processes for public services provided through the national public service portal. Efforts should also be made to enhance citizen guidance on utilizing online public service information systems. Furthermore, it is important to make necessary preparations for the Trade Union Congress of the Industry and Trade sector.
