As one of the main pillars in the digital transformation, Thai Nguyen province has implemented a comprehensive set of measures to promote digital economic development, thereby creating new sources of growth in socio-economic development through digital transformation.
Under the centralized and unified guidance of the Industry Trade --UNION-- Executive Committee, the diligent preparations of grassroots Trade --UNION--s, adherence to the provisions of the Vietnam Trade --UNION-- Charter, leadership from Party committees, and support and facilitation from the authorities and experts, the results of the Congress of grassroots Trade --UNION--s have been successful and excellent.
The Industry and Trade Fair - Thai Nguyen Province One Commune One Product (OCOP) 2023 has concluded with significant impressions and high evaluations from the provincial leadership of Thái Nguyên, as well as from other provinces, businesses, and the people nationwide. Through this event, trade promotion has made an important contribution to the local socio-economic development, providing new opportunities for businesses and cooperatives from different provinces and cities to expand their brand promotion, geographical indication, and global supply chain integration. It has also helped build images, reputation, and consumer confidence.
On the afternoon of June 6, 2023, Comrade Nguyen Ba Chinh, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, presided over the meeting of the Party Committee’s Executive Board of the Department of Industry and Trade to thoroughly discuss several key tasks for the month of June and the remaining months of 2023.
The project to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the period of 2021-2023 has been well implemented by the Department of Industry and Trade. They have effectively carried out information dissemination and communication activities on directives related to production development, overcoming difficulties, as well as promoting and introducing products and businesses. Furthermore, they have actively supported the building and development of brands and sought market outlets for the units through trade promotion activities, including participating in fairs, exhibitions to promote products, expanding markets, and attending supply-demand connection conferences. In addition, they have implemented support for local industrial promotion activities and national industrial promotion campaigns.
To enhance the effective implementation of state management in recent times, the Party Committee and the Leadership Board of the Department of Industry and Trade have placed great emphasis on directing and implementing plans and solutions for investing in and upgrading essential information technology infrastructure to meet the required demands and tasks.
After reviewing the results of the first 6 months of 2023 and implementing the key tasks for the remaining 6 months, the Party Committee of the Department has focused on thoroughly grasping the tasks set by the Provincial Party Committee, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Education, and the Party Committee of the Block of Provincial Agencies, in accordance with each month, year, and term. Accordingly, the Party work has been fully and seriously implemented, involving all party members within the Party Committee, contributing to the successful completion of the assigned tasks.
On May 26, 2023, a working session was held between the working delegation led by Comrade Phan Ba Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, as the Head of the Delegation, and the leaders of Thai Nguyen City People’s Committee to grasp the situation and address difficulties in state management in the field of Trade and Industry. In attendance were Comrade Nguyen Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, along with heads and deputy heads of specialized departments and units under the Department.
Implementing the provisions of Government Decree No. 71/2018/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2018, detailing certain articles of the Law on Management, Use of Weapons, Explosives, and Supportive Tools regarding industrial explosives and explosive precursor materials; Circular No. 13/2018/TT/BCT dated June 15, 2018, by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on regulations for the management and use of industrial explosives and explosive precursor materials used for the production of industrial explosives.
On the morning of June 5, 2023, the Department of Industry and Trade organized a working session with businesses operating in industrial parks within the province to review and urge the implementation of environmental protection regulations in the industrial parks. The attendees included Comrade Nguyen Ba Chinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Board and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Comrade Pham Binh Cong, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, as well as representatives from the People’s Committees of districts, cities, and nine infrastructure developers of industrial parks within the province.
