According to the Plan of the Organizing Committee, the Department of Industry and Trade is the lead agency responsible for implementing and coordinating with other departments, committees, and sectors within the province, as well as the People’s Committees of districts and cities, based on their respective functions and tasks, to develop specific plans and organize the Trade Fair and Exhibition in 2023. In the previous year, in 2022, the Trade Fair and Exhibition attracted participation from 23 provinces/cities nationwide, as well as defense enterprises, corporations, and large businesses from both within and outside the province, showcasing representative, reputable, and high-quality products. The average daily number of visitors and shoppers reached approximately 8,000, with a total of about 40,000 visitors throughout the event. The sales revenue of participating businesses at the Trade Fair and Exhibition was around 3.5 billion Vietnamese Dong, and they managed to sign approximately 50 contracts for distribution, agency, and product consumption, with a total contract value of about 2 billion Vietnamese Dong.

The Trade Fair and Exhibition of Industry and Trade - OCOP Thai Nguyen 2023 is scheduled to take place from May 19th to May 23rd, 2023, with the theme "Thai Nguyen Integration and Development," at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, Thai Nguyen City. It is expected to attract customers and partners due to various new and innovative aspects in event organization. As of now, the Trade Fair and Exhibition has seen the participation of nearly 170 booths.
