On June 5, 2023, Comrade Phan Ba Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, chaired a meeting with relevant departments to gather opinions and reach a consensus on the implementation plan for the connection of the 500kV transmission line from Hiep Hoa to Thai Nguyen and the 500kV Thai Nguyen Substation.
With the achievements obtained in the first 6 months of 2023, it affirms the significant role in trade promotion activities, contributing to the attraction of investment, support, connectivity, and creating favorable conditions for enterprises and cooperatives to participate in trade promotion programs. It also facilitates the connection of supply and demand for goods, promotion, and introduction of products in provinces and cities nationwide.
In the first 6 months of 2023, the Department of Industry and Trade has disseminated and implemented the Party’s principles and the state’s policies and laws regarding administrative reform and institutional reform to all officials, civil servants, and workers. It has promptly resolved administrative procedures for organizations and individuals. The department has also implemented the application of document management and work coordination, exchange, and interoperability of electronic documents with digital signatures at all levels and sectors within the province, as well as with central agencies, other provinces, and cities. There is a focus on handling administrative procedures through online public services and public postal services.
On the morning of June 16, 2023, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Thai Nguyen province, in collaboration with the VFF Committee of Vo Nhai district, organized a conference to promote the campaign "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Products" in 2023 at La Hien commune, Vo Nhai district.
On the afternoon of June 15, 2023, the Party Committee of the Department of Industry and Trade organized a conference to review the Party building work in the first six months of the year and implement the tasks for the remaining six months of 2023. The conference was attended and guided by Comrade Ngo Van Lam, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Ba Chinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.
In accordance with the National Trade Promotion Program for 2023, aiming to support businesses in their production and trading activities, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) is collaborating with the Department of Industry and Trade, Trade Promotion Centers, and Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Centers of provinces and cities in the Northern and North Central regions to organize the program "Connecting Trade between suppliers in the Northern and North Central regions with export enterprises and trade promotion organizations."
In order to resolve difficulties, obstacles, and support businesses, investors, and investment projects in the industrial and commercial sector within the province, the Department of Industry and Trade has developed a plan and organized direct working sessions with businesses in 11 industrial clusters from June 6th to June 9th, 2023. These efforts have yielded positive results and contributed to enhancing the responsibilities of state management agencies as well as creating favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms and policies for businesses in the future.
In recent years, the Department of Industry and Trade has been actively promoting environmental protection activities in conjunction with state management tasks in the sector, aiming to achieve the goal of building a modern and sustainable industrial sector.
The implementation of the Food Safety Month Action Plan for 2023 in Thai Nguyen province has been proactively carried out by the Department of Industry and Trade in close coordination with relevant units to implement multiple activities of practical significance, ensuring the inspection and control of food safety (FS) as well as the monitoring of food sources, product consumption connections, and origin traceability to serve the public’s safety when using food.
According to Report No. 406/BC-CTK on the economic and social situation in May and the first 5 months of 2023 in Thai Nguyen province, provided by the Provincial Statistics Office, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the province in May 2023 is estimated at 5,566.4 billion Vietnamese dong, an increase of 1.3% compared to the previous month and a 31.9% increase compared to the same period.
